This showcase features a collection of live-action training and instructional videos created for various departments across DIRECTV. Each project reflects a commitment to enhancing employee engagement and customer experience through dynamic visual storytelling, innovative design, and a focus on clarity and impact. From onboarding tutorials to advanced technical training, these videos represent the fusion of creativity and functionality essential to DIRECTV’s continued success.

CODE: D – Deliver with Confidence

This video was created for an internal DIRECTV client and provides an overview of how technicians should interact with their customers. The video is framed in a “do this, not that” style, showing the technicians what not to do before showing them the correct style. This live-action video was produced with Sony a7 SIII cameras, RODE microphones, lighting equipment, and teleprompters. It was assembled in Adobe After Effects, while the audio was mixed in Adobe Audition.

Installing the Equipment Bonding Jumper
(Live Action mix with Motion Graphics)

This video was created for an internal AT&T client and provides an overview of the process for installing the equipment bonding jumper as prescribed by DIRECTV for outside field technicians. This multi-format video utilizes Live action and green screen in conjunction with motion graphics and was created using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. 

Training Intro Video

This video features multi-camera angles and a reverse dolly. The actress wears a lapel mic, and the camera operator operates a boom microphone. It was produced while AT&T was employed in 2018.

Interview-Style Video

This video features a multi-camera setup (3), a multi-light setup (3 spots, 1 fill), and a multi-microphone setup (2 lapels, 1 boom) to capture an “interview style” informational training video. This video also features lower-third graphics, B-Roll footage, and informational graphics on the side of the screen. Filmed on location and produced while under the employment of AT&T in 2019.

SMITH Safety Video
(on-location, multiple angles, vehicles)


This video is a dramatic re-enactment and subsequent training video for the SMITH driving system. AT&T used it to illustrate proper driving techniques to its field technicians. It was created using multiple iOS cameras, GoPros, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
